How do I find out what database my Wordpress installation is using?

For those using several databases and/or several installations of Wordpress, it may be confusing which database is being used for which Wordpress installation.

To find out which database is being used for a Wordpress installation:

Via our Website

1. Choose My Services from the menu above. You MUST be logged into the client area to see this. If you are not logged in, you can login by clicking here.

2. Click View Details next to the account you want to access.

3. Under Quick Shortcuts, click on the File Manager tool icon.

Canadian web hosting4. Choose the Wordpress folder, and right click your mouse over the wp-config.php file and choose Edit.

5. In that file, you will see the name of the database that Wordpress installation is using.

Via cPanel


1. Log into cPanel, and choose the File Manager.

2. Choose the Wordpress folder, and right click your mouse over the wp-config.php file and choose Edit.

3. In that file, you will see the name of the database that Wordpress installation is using.
