What is Email Spoofing?

"Spoofing" is when someone makes their sender ("reply-to") email address appear as an email address other than the actual sending email address. Spammers often spoof their reply to email address to hide their real email address which can be seen in the headers of an email. An analogy from postal mail would be to use a fake return address on an envelope.
